It features documentaries shows related to travel and leisure around the Southern Africa. Programming has included shows in African animal safaris, tours of grand hotels, and visits to significant cities and towns. Ons is besig om verskillende plase in die Prieska distrik te verfilm. Dit is n besondere voorreg om die boere en hulle gesinne te ontmoet , dit laat my weer besef wat n wonderlike werk dit is om in die natuur te wees. Hier op die plaas, Spitzkop word pistasieneute verbou. Heelwat plase in die distrik verbou die heerlike neute.

Pekanneute op Oranje landgoed. Die distrik van Prieska is een van die heel beste areas in SA om pekanneute te verbou.

Bespuiting van pekanneute

Op Loverlandgoed, bekend vir sy Bonsmara stoetery. Elke jaar word n veiling op die plaas gehou.

Heelwat wyndruiwe word ook in die distrik verbou. Die druiwe word gelewer by die wynkelders op Douglas wat behoort aan die GWK kooperasie

Spilpunte word gebruik vir die besproeiing van koring uit die Oranje Rivier.

Vanderkloof op die R48 is n pragtige dorp op die oewers van die Vanderkloof Dam in die Oranje Rivier. In die winter daal die water temperatuur van die dam nie onder 7 grade celcuis nie. Gedurende die winter heers daar n gematige temp. in die dorp en geen ryp kom voor nie amper n suptropiese klimaat as gevolg van die teenwoordigheid van die dam. Die dorp beskik oor die nodige infrastruktuur maar het geen petrol of diesel beskikbaar nie die naaste is by Petrusville 10 km ver.

Die dam is voltooi gedurende die vroee sewentigs is die tweede grootste dam in SA maar spog met die hoogste damwal. Die damsluise is spesiaal vir ons oopgetrek om te verfilm die asemrowende gesig sal my altyd bybly. Een van die sluise oopgetrek lewer 120000 liter water per sekonde en daar is vier van hulle. In die damwal is ook hidro kragopwekking wat gereguleer word deur ESKOM vanaf Johannesburg in werking styg die rivier met 2 meter.

Ons het gekamp op die rivier oewer by een van die boere van die omgewing hier kan met kanos gery word Geelvis vlieghengel en sommer net die stilte te waardeer. In die onmiddelike omgewing kan rotsklim en brugspring beoefen word.

Die omgewing het baie Karoo koppe en berge wat dit n besondere mooi area maak met verskeie staproetes. Rolfontein Natuurreservaat is n moet om te besoek met baie wild en renosters sal defnatief gesien kan word.
Net oorkant die rivier aan die Vrystaat kant is die Scheiding pomp stasie. Vanaf die damwal is daar n kanaal waar water deur swaartekrag 13km loop tot by die pompstasie. By die pompstasie is daar sewe pompe wat gesametlik 180000 liter water per sekonde lewer die kragverbruik is meer as die dorp DE AAR. Vanaf die pompstasie word die water 47 meter kophoogte opgepomp na n ander kanaal waar die water weer met swaartekrag gevoer word na Jakobsdal omgewing. Die pompstasie is die grootste van sy soort in die suidelike halfrond

In 1902 Boer leader Manie Maritz massacred members of the Leliefontein mission community that were suspected of being British sympathizers. Lt Daters Grave of a British officer killed during the Anglo Boer War, Darters grave 15 km south of the town is the smallest piece of foreign land registered in South Africa in an area that saw many skirmishes during the war. Apollo Theatre is the last remaining art deco theatre in South Africa not only unique for its historic importance but it is also of great architectural importance. Victoria West Museum displays on history archaeology and fossils including those of fossilized fish reminding the visitor that 200 million years ago the karoo was an inland sea.

is gelee op die oranje rivier. hiermee moet ek die nasionale parkeraad bedank vir hulle samewerking om ons filmwerk te vergemaklik. ons het die hele park deurkruis wat n natuurwonderwerk !!!. Helsbergpas was die mooiste toe ons dit nou besoek het bo op die berg was die landskap oortrek met blomme al die kleure van die reenboog. die park is n moet om te besoek al is dit net eenkeer in jou lewe. By sendelingsdrif is n pond om die oorgrenspark in namibie te besoek

Ons het geslaap by die kookhuis ek kan dit aanbeveel om te oornag. ons was bevooreg om die kinderle te besoek net buitekant die dorp 1867 is 32 namakinders vermoor deur boesmans hulle het eers die honde en toe die kinders met pyl en boog. Nammavrouens het vir ons kos gamaak in n tradisionele lapa.

Ons was by Kamieskroon, en pratige blomme gesien by Skilpadroete in die Namaqua Park en al wat blom is, is verfilm, veral in die namiddag lig. Ons het oornag in die Gousblom gaste huis, baie gerieflik. Ons het na Leliefontein gery en die berglandskap is asemrowend mooi, daar aangekom, was ons verbaas om al die bedrywighede te sien. Bv. die ou Kerk en die bybel, hoog Hollands dateer in die 1786. n Besoek aan die woelige kleuterskool was oulik en die Nama hutte word bedryf deur Vera en kan gerus besoek word, en sy verskaf ook lekker tradisionele kosse.
